GPH employs over 400 staff including many qualified health and other professionals including peer workers and community workers. GPH operations cover a large regional geographical footprint in NSW and ACT.
About The Position
Calling all Psychologists, Mental Health Nurses, Occupational Therapists and Social Workers who are motivated by a social justice, equity of access to Mental Health services and a passion to make a real difference in peoples lives.
MyRecovery is a free, not for-profit, medium-term mental health service with a strong focus on person-centered, strengths-based recovery approaches. We support people with complex needs and enduring mental health vulnerabilities in their journey to lead a meaningful and satisfying life and to help prevent them from slipping through the cracks of the system.
As a Mental Health Clinician, you will work collaboratively with Peer Workers, and use your clinical expertise to support consumers to create the positive changes they identify as needed. You will also provide clinical care coordination in collaboration with GPs, psychiatrists, the local health district services and other community organisations.
Based in our Queanbeyan hub, this opportunity is available part-time (22.5 hours per week), fixed term to 30 June 2027.
We Are Looking For Someone With
* Current AHPRA registration as a Psychologist, Provisional Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Aboriginal Health Worker, Mental Health Nurse, or Occupational Therapist (accredited in Mental Health), or accreditation (or working towards) with the AASW as a Mental Health Social Worker or a Counsellor with Clinical registration with PACFA or ACA (Level 3 or 4).
* Demonstrated experience in undertaking comprehensive mental health assessments and development of intervention plans in collaboration with consumers and their family and carers
* Demonstrated skills and experience in providing holistic, evidence-based therapeutic services
* Understanding of the biological, psychological and social underpinnings of mental health
