Job Opportunity
The Mathematical Sciences Institute is seeking a talented researcher to join our team as part of an Australian Research Council Discovery project. The position is available at Level A or B.
This opportunity is designed for individuals with a strong background in mathematics, who are eager to contribute to the study of Bridgeland stability conditions on triangulated categories.
The primary goal of the position is to collaborate with the three chief investigators and a range of international colleagues to advance our understanding of this complex field.
The research aims to answer fundamental questions about the topology of the space of stability conditions, using a combination of techniques from representation theory, group theory, algebraic geometry, combinatorics, and other areas of mathematics.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the research team to conduct cutting-edge research.
* Contribute to the development of innovative mathematical theories and models.
* Publish research findings in top-tier academic journals.
* Present research results at international conferences.
Requirements:
* An outstanding record in research relative to opportunity, in a field directly relevant to the project.
* A PhD degree in mathematics or a related field.
* Expertise in representation theory, group theory, algebraic geometry, combinatorics, or another area of mathematics.
