Environmental Management Officer
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to join our Environmental Services team. As an Environmental Management Officer, you will be responsible for patrolling the region, responding to community concerns, enforcing legislation, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities
* Patrol the region to detect and deter illegal activities related to environmental protection, animal management, and parking enforcement.
* Respond to community complaints and provide accurate information and education on Council policies and procedures.
* Enforce legislation through investigations, issuing notices, and initiating legal action where required.
* Collaborate with emergency services and contribute to operational planning and enforcement programs.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Current Class C Driver's Licence
* NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC)
* Proof of Australian residency/citizenship or valid work visa
* Eligible for Justice of the Peace appointment
* Animal microchipping certification (or ability to obtain)
* National Criminal History Check (may be required during recruitment) at Council expense
Employment Benefits
* Part-time officers: Grade 5 and Grade 8 Salaries $56,603 - $63,620 and $67,266 - $75,609 (pro rata) plus 12% Superannuation
* Casual officers: Grade 5 and Grade 8 Salaries $40 - $45 per hour and $48 - $54 per hour plus 12% Superannuation
