Courts Administration Authority
The Courts Administration Authority is constituted by the Courts Administration Act 1993. The Act established the State Courts Administration Council as an administrative authority independent of control by executive government and to confer on the Council power to provide courts with the administrative facilities and services necessary for the proper administration of justice.
Participating courts of the Authority are the Supreme Court, District Court, Environment, Resources and Development Court, Youth Court, Magistrates Court, and the Coroner's Court.

The Sheriff's Office

The Sheriff is a statutory officer appointed pursuant to the Sheriff's Act on the recommendation of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. The Sheriff's Office was first established by the Supreme Court Act 1837, which provided that the Court should have Ministerial

The Sheriff has in excess of 150 uniformed officers trained in all aspects of the work of the Sheriff, including provision of emergency services, security, prisoner security and in-court support. The Sheriff also has in approximately 40 Enforcement Sheriff's Officers who serve and execute civil and criminal orders throughout South Australia.


About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Training Coordinator and Business Support to lead the coordination and delivery of operational training across the Sheriff's Office. This role ensures our officers are equipped with the skills and knowledge required to meet legislative and operational standards.

Reporting to the Deputy Sheriff Court Services, you will oversee the implementation of the Sheriff's Office Training Plan, manage training logistics, evaluate outcomes, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. You will also support workforce planning through training needs analysis and may be required to undertake duties as a security officer under the Sheriff's Act 1978.


Key Responsibilities

* Coordinate and deliver structured training programs aligned with operational and legislative requirements.
* Maintain governance frameworks for training compliance and recommend system improvements.
* Analyse training needs, identify skill gaps, and support workforce planning.
* Manage training logistics including venues, materials, and technology.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design and evaluate training strategies.
* Ensure accurate records management and reporting of training outcomes.


What We're Looking For


Essential Criteria

* Proven experience in coordinating large‑scale training initiatives using adult learning principles.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to use data to inform decisions.
* Excellent communication skills, including report writing and stakeholder engagement.
* Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
* Experience in training compliance and continuous improvement practices.


Renumeration

* ASO5 - $85790 to $95413


Special Conditions

* Appointment under the Courts Administration Act 1993 and governed by the Public Sector Act 2009.
* Must hold or obtain a Working with Children Check and National Police Certificate .
* Will be required to hold an appointment as a security officer pursuant to the Sheriff's Act 1978.
* Will be required to wear regulation issue uniform whilst undertaking functions as a security officer.
* Must be physically and psychologically fit to perform duties, including conflict management and restraint.
* May be required to travel intra/interstate and work outside normal hours.
* Flexibility to work across metropolitan locations and be reassigned within the CAA as needed.
