Job Description:Join the DXC team and contribute to bringing DXC's claims management expertise to icare and the people of New South Wales.With over 20 years' experience in workers compensation claims management, a unique opportunity exists to join a new DXC team.
DXC are currently partnering with a reputable Government Health Organisation, setting up their Workers' Compensation Department and would love you to join the team as an Injury Management Advisor.In the role of an Injury Management Advisor, you will be providing strategic advice to Case Managers on establishing appropriate medical strategies, developing robust treatment plans and developing sound return to work plans.
You will be responsible for ensuring treatment actions are completed within the agreed timeframes and medical treatment requests are responded to within legislative timeframes.ResponsibilitiesInfluence health and occupational rehabilitation providers in relation to the appropriateness of treatment and adherence to scheme principlesDrive rehabilitation provider to achieve the required outcomesReview and determine appropriate treatment in line with clinical frameworksProvide needs-based services to people with work-related injuries to achieve the best possible outcome and durable independence for that individualEnsure tasks and activities are followed through as set out in case conferencingAssist in the development of strategiesMeet with workers and treaters in coordinating and managing workers' claimsTo be successfulSound Medical knowledgeAt least two years' experience in workplace-based rehabilitation, with a preference for a degree in a medical or health-related field (desirable)Extensive knowledge of medical and paramedical terminology and procedures, including the forms of treatment applicable to injuryTeamwork with coaching and mentoring experienceFlexibility and ability to adapt to changeAbility to interpret and implement decisions according to the rules and regulationsIntermediate computer skillsFlexible working arrangementsOur virtual first approach means we offer a high degree of work flexibility.
