Job Overview
This role is responsible for coordinating matters coming before Cabinet and supporting the integrity and good governance of Cabinet and Assembly business.
To be successful, you will have an understanding of the ACT Government's Cabinet, Assembly and Government Business activities, as well as good organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a small and highly flexible team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Coordinate matters coming before Cabinet and provide administrative support to ensure the effective functioning of Cabinet and Assembly business;
2. Provide high-level coordination and advisory services to support the integrity and good governance of Cabinet and Assembly business;
3. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Ministers, Members of Parliament, and other government agencies;
4. Contribute to the development of policy advice and reports to support Cabinet and Assembly decision-making processes;
5. Undertake other duties as required to support the efficient and effective operation of the branch.
Eligibility/Other Requirements
This position requires the successful applicant to be an Australian citizen and possess or acquire and maintain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (ASVGA) security clearance at the Negative Vetting 1 level (NV1).
If screening is not successful, your employment will not commence or, if already commenced, your employment will be reassessed.

This is a temporary position available immediately until 12 December 2025 with the possibility of extension up to six months.
The position is available to ACT Government officers and employees only.
Selection may be based on application alone. A Merit Pool may be established from this selection process and be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
