Position Overview
As the Administration Officer - Marketing within Sports and Leisure, you'll report directly to the Team Leader of Customer Experience and become a vital force in driving the marketing efforts of our Leisure Centres. You'll dive into a variety of exciting tasks, from helping to create and launch dynamic marketing campaigns to crafting and managing engaging content across multiple platforms. Plus, you'll provide key administrative support, ensuring everything runs smoothly and our marketing campaigns make a real impact!
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and manage a dynamic content calendar for social media to boost engagement and drive growth.
* Monitor and moderate social media platforms daily to ensure a positive and active online presence.
* Create, edit, and optimise web content to enhance user experience and improve site performance.
* Lead email marketing efforts, from writing and building campaigns to tracking performance and reporting results.
* Assist in executing cross-channel marketing campaigns and events, coordinating assets and schedules to ensure smooth execution.
* Support audience and market research to shape data-driven marketing strategies.
* Maintain and manage brand assets for both the Council and Leisure Services to ensure consistent messaging.
* Provide administrative support to the Customer Experience & Marketing teams, handling customer queries with efficiency and professionalism.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a motivated individual with a passion for marketing and community engagement who thrives in a collaborative environment.
* Essential: Qualification in marketing or communications and / or equivalent level of skills and experience.
* Experience in service marketing, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Attention to detail and an understanding of best practises in web and social media content creation.
* Familiarity with email marketing practises and managing marketing lists.
* Desirable: Experience in sport and leisure marketing, graphic design skills, and proficiency in a Content Management System.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and flexibility, readily adapting to various tasks and challenges while maintaining a customer-focused approach.

* Package:$78,717 - $83,439 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation.
* Hours of work:Temporary Full-Time 38 hours per week with option of 19 day month. Opportunity expected to be available until end of February 2027.
* The successful candidate will primarily be based at the Sutherland Shire Leisure Centre, Monday to Friday. However, flexibility to work across all centres and assist with weekend events may be required to provide additional support to the business unit when needed.
