About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Tyre Shop Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a busy trade and retail tyre store. This is a hands-on role, suited to someone who understands tyres from the ground up and can confidently manage staff, customers, and workflow.
You’ll be responsible for running the shop efficiently, maintaining high customer service standards, and driving strong relationships with trade clients while supporting retail walk-ins.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage daily workshop and front-of-house operations
* Lead, train, and supervise tyre fitters and sales staff
* Balance trade accounts and retail customers
* Quoting, invoicing, POS, and job scheduling
* Ensure jobs are completed safely, accurately, and on time
* Handle customer enquiries, issues, and escalations professionally
* Maintain stock levels, ordering, and supplier relationships
* Ensure compliance with WHS and workshop safety standards
* Drive sales, upselling, and repeat business
About You
* Proven experience in a tyre shop or automotive workshop
* Strong knowledge of tyres (passenger, 4WD, light truck preferred)
* Confident managing both trade and retail environments
* Natural leader with a hands-on attitude
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Organised, reliable, and able to prioritise under pressure
* Comfortable with POS systems, quoting, and basic reporting
* Current driver’s licence (HR licence an advantage but not essential)
