As a seasoned manufacturing professional, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our dedicated workshop.
Your primary responsibility will be to manage and support Explosive Ordnance Projects. This involves ensuring that all work is carried out safely and efficiently.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Workshop Management: Oversee the management of a multi-discipline workshop, implementing best practices in safety, quality, and productivity.
* Manufacturing Resource Planning: Implement the onsite Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) tool to optimize resource allocation and streamline processes.
* Technical Support: Provide technical support and maintenance services for equipment and machinery.
* Safety Culture: Drive and maintain a strong safety culture, ensuring adherence to WHS policies and procedures.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation of workshop activities.
Candidates must possess significant experience in safety-critical operations, with a trade qualification as a mechanical or electrical technician. Relevant certifications such as Certificate IV WHS are highly desirable.
This role requires hands-on supervisory experience in a multi-discipline workshop environment, as well as leadership experience within technical quality frameworks. Experience with improvement methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma is also advantageous.
