About the Role
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Grounds Support Officer plays a key role in maintaining the school's outdoor spaces and supporting events and activities. Responsibilities include:
* Routine gardening and grounds maintenance
* Event setup and pack-down
* Minor repairs and small project work
* WHS checks and safe work practices
* General support for the Facilities and ICT teams
This role contributes directly to the wellbeing and experience of students and staff by ensuring a safe, clean and welcoming environment.
Essential Criteria
A personal commitment to the King's vision, mission and values underpinning the delivery of a Christian-based education to students is essential to this role. The role also requires:
* Practical skills in grounds and facility maintenance
* A collaborative, flexible and proactive approach
* Strong WHS knowledge and safe work practices
* Physical fitness suited to outdoor work and varied terrain
* Relevant licenses and experience in minor repairs
* Current driver's license and first aid certificate
* Working with Children check and Mandatory Reporting certification
