About the role
Kickstart your career as an Apprentice Plumber with QBuild, Queensland Government's dedicated builder.
The apprenticeship is available as school-based or full-time and equips you with on-the-job training with qualified tradespeople and off-the-job learning from registered training organisations.
You will support local communities by working on projects such as housing, hospitals, ambulance stations and other facilities across Queensland.

Apprenticeship Qualifications
Plumber – Certificate III in Plumbing
Key Responsibilities
Understand and carry out manual work, technical information and the use of equipment.
Adhere to safety protocols by following proper procedures, using protective equipment and maintaining a safe work environment.
Demonstrate respect for others and plan work to achieve results.
Communicate clearly, listen attentively, proactively seek to understand others by asking questions and work collaboratively.
What We Look For
15 years of age at commencement; candidates 18 or turning 18 are preferred for overnight travel unless a school-based apprentice.
Eligible to work in Australia (permanent residency).
Completed Year 10 with passes in Maths and English.
Able to transport you and your tools to work/training sites (driver's licence not mandatory).
Willing to obtain a Construction Industry White Card before starting.
