The Opportunity
Lithgow City Council has an exciting opportunity for Casual Lifeguards to join their team in Lithgow, NSW.
Reporting to the Aquatic Centre Team Leader, you will be responsible for supervising patrons at the Aquatic Centre, ensuring safety and care for the community.
More specifically, your duties will include:
* Maintaining supervision of patrons in line with the Royal Life Saving Keep Watch initiative
* Ensuring the centre is well maintained, clean, and aesthetically pleasing
* Following the Centre's Operations Manual
* Implementing the Emergency Action Plan and providing first aid when needed
* Maintaining equipment, cleanliness of storage areas, amenities, and setting up and packing away equipment
* Ensuring children under 5 are supervised by a guardian at all times

About you
The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
* Current Senior First Aid Certificate
* Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
* Current Working with Children Check (if over 18)
* Commitment to WHS procedures
* Integrity and honesty
Preferred additional experience includes:
* Bronze Medallion
* Class C Drivers Licence
* Aqua Aerobics Certification
* Certificate III in Fitness
* Austswim Learn to Swim Course
* Certificate III in Aquatics (SIS30110)
* Chemical Handling course
* Experience in a public pool
Salary and Benefits
