Our client is a high-performing and fast-growing commercial law firm, recognised for its deep expertise in corporate and commercial law. About the position:
Our client is looking for a Senior Associate (5–10 PAE) to join their Corporate and Commercial team, initially for the Brisbane office, with flexibility for Melbourne or Sydney for the right person. This is a strategic leadership role within a growing practice.
You will:
* Handle complex corporate transactions including M&A, joint ventures, and restructures
* Advise on shareholder agreements, commercial contracts, and corporate governance
* Lead and supervise junior lawyers and review their work
* Settle commercial documents and take carriage of mid-to-large-scale matters
* Work closely with global and national clients on high-value transactions
* Engage in business development activities to support continued firm growth
This is a rare opportunity to work on multi-jurisdictional matters and directly interact with in-house teams of global companies. The role will suit someone who is confident, commercially astute, and ready to step into a visible and influential position.
Key Requirements:
* 5–10 years PAE in corporate and/or commercial law (private practice experience is needed)
* Demonstrated experience settling and supervising transactional matters
* Confidence managing global or high-end corporate/commercial clients
* Proven ability to mentor junior lawyers effectively
* Admitted to practice in Australia with an unrestricted QLD practising certificate
* Willingness to be based in Brisbane, with potential flexibility for Melbourne or Sydney
