To deliver on this new and exciting work, we are seeking skilled trades individuals to undertake long-term, world-leading training in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, U.S.
Placements are available in April **** and will be between 6 – 12 months in duration.
Responsibilities
Build, install, and remove temporary piping systems for ship repair, tooling, and testing.
Set up chilled water and dehumidification systems for sensitive projects.
Provide potable, non-potable, and auxiliary seawater for ship systems and trade work.
Install temporary fire-main connections with isolation valves and quick disconnects for firefighting.
Operate high-capacity pumps for bilge and emergency dewatering.
Transfer wastewater from vessel to shore safely.
Deliver low and high-pressure air for maintenance and testing needs.
Eligibility Criteria
An ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 defence clearance
Minimum Certificate 3 in Engineering (Mechanical OR Fabrication)
Ability to relocate to Hawaii for 8 months and then permanently relocate to Perth, WA.
During deployment, you will receive on-the-job training combined with instructor-led classroom training. This training programme and work is carried out in accordance with company and US Navy processes and procedures.
At the completion of your deployment, you will return to Western Australia (WA) to carry out the planning, management, and in-water maintenance activities on the United States Navy Virginia Class Submarines. Repatriation to WA is non-negotiable, so please consider this when applying.
