Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will provide assistance to clients in accordance with their NDIS plans, ensuring they receive the highest level of care and support.
* Assist clients with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, bathing, grooming, and other aspects of personal care.
* Prepare nutritious meals tailored to clients' needs and preferences.
* Provide transportation assistance to clients.
* Offer respite care to clients and their families.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of clients' care plans and progress.
* Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A minimum of high school or equivalent qualification.
* Certificate 3 or 4 in individual support or willingness to work towards completion.
* Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disabilities.
* Availability for day shifts, night shifts, sleepovers, and weekends.
* A strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
* The ability to work with a diverse client base, understanding the different support needs of clients based on their abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirements.
