Our client is a rapidly expanding investment management and funds services business, partnering with a select group of high-performing investment firms. They provide institutional-grade operational, governance and distribution support across a diverse range of investment strategies and client types – from institutional and wholesale investors through to private wealth channels.
Due to ongoing growth and diversification, they are looking to appoint a junior Compliance Analyst – ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional with a genuine interest in financial services, funds management and regulation.
Working closely with an experienced Compliance Manager, you will be given training, mentoring and exposure across the full compliance lifecycle. You'll help maintain and enhance the Compliance and Risk Management Systems across the business and its associated investment partners, building a strong platform for a long-term career in investment / funds compliance.
Key responsibilities
* Assisting in the maintenance of compliance and risk frameworks to meet legislative and regulatory standards
* Supporting the design and implementation of new ASIC regulatory guidance and legislative requirements
* Helping develop and maintain policies, procedures, programs and registers
* Reviewing advertising and marketing materials for compliance purposes
* Monitoring and reinforcing compliance with compliance plan obligations
* Preparing compliance memos and assisting with content for Board and management reporting
* Assisting with compliance testing, incident management and ongoing projects
* Providing ideas and feedback to improve compliance processes and controls
About you
* Bachelor's degree (or post-graduate study) in Law, Commerce, Finance, Economics or a related discipline
* Some exposure to financial services, legal, risk, audit or compliance work (via internships, clerkships, graduate roles or similar) is beneficial but not essential
* Strong interest in investment management, financial markets and regulatory frameworks
* Confident communicator, comfortable working with stakeholders across the business
* Detail-oriented, proactive and keen to learn in a high-performance, growth environment
