About the Role Churches of Christ are currently looking for a caring and reliable Senior Home Care Worker. Your role involves assisting with daily activities, medication management, and promoting independence, all while upholding our Positive Wellbeing Model of Care. This role offers variety and flexibility, with a combination of hands-on client support and office-based responsibilities. While much of your work will take place in the community, there will be times when you'll contribute to planning and coordination from our office. As a senior team member, you will also be available for on-call support as the need arises, ensuring that clients receive the highest standard of care when they need it most. Our clients are at the heart of everything we do. To ensure they receive the highest standard of care, your reliability is crucial for maintaining regular shifts and providing coverage during both planned and unexpected absences. Key responsibilities include: Providing personal care (e.g. showering, dressing, toileting) Assisting clients with medication Hours of availability are 7.00am to 3.00pm, Monday to Friday Supporting domestic tasks and meal preparation Offering social support, including transport and outings Monitoring client wellbeing and updating care plans Mentoring and training Home Care Workers Upholding the Positive Wellbeing Model of Care What You’ll Bring Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) Completion of key units: HLTHPS006 - Assist client with medication, HLTAAP001 – Recognise healthy body systems, CHCCCS031 – Provide individualised support. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a direct care role Up-to-date and current First Aid and CPR certificates Comfortable with technology, including proficiency with mobile apps and care software. Current driver’s licence and comprehensively insured vehicle Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English A commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement What Makes You Stand Out A current National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain) NDIS Worker Screening Check (if applicable) Vehicle suitable for work purposes are essential for this role.
