We at Randstad are seeking a proven, ambitious leader for the role of State Manager, Trades & Labor in South Australia. You will be leading the largest and most successful Trades & Labor regional units at Randstad, with an estimated annual revenue close to $25 million. This role is ideal for a proven leader ready to manage a significant P&L and drive the strategic direction and growth of a high‐performing team.
The Team and Business
Lead a dedicated team of seven consultants and one candidate manager across two key offices: Wyville (Adelaide) and Port Augusta. The business operates within the infrastructure, civil construction, industrial, and waste management sectors and the South Australia trades and Labor team is one of the largest GP‐generating teams, offering a unique platform for success and career growth.
Core Responsibilities
* P&L Management & Forecasting: Full responsibility for the business unit's financial performance, including P&L management and financial forecasting.
* People Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop the team of eight (seven consultants and one candidate manager), fostering a high‐performance culture.
* Business Development & Sales: Drive new business acquisition and manage large, long‐standing client accounts, ensuring continued revenue growth and market penetration.
* Cross‐Collaboration: Drive strong relationships and cross‐collaboration with the wider South Australian business to maximize regional opportunities.
* Operational Excellence: Identify and address operational efficiencies to ensure smooth and profitable business function.
Candidate Profile
* We are seeking a commercially astute and ambitious leader.
* Proven experience in a senior management, branch management, or similar leadership capacity within the recruitment or relevant industry.
* Experience in P&L management, forecasting, and driving business development/sales.
* Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a high‐performing team of consultants.
* Strong relationship‐building skills and the seniority to drive cross‐collaboration across the wider state business.
* While not essential, prior expertise within the Trades and Labor or related sectors (construction, infrastructure, industrial) would be highly regarded.
