As our Engagement Officer, you'll be at the heart of delivering meaningful, contemporary engagement that builds trust, amplifies community voice and supports key Council projects and initiatives.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING…
* Delivering Council's Communication & Engagement Strategy.
* Building strong relationships with community groups, committees and stakeholders.
* Coordinating community engagement activities, workshops and consultations.
* Leading engagement for key projects, including the Sorell Community Cultural Precinct.
* Supporting Council teams in developing engagement plans.
* Coordinating Citizenship Ceremonies and assist with major Council events.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR…
* Experience planning and delivering community engagement initiatives.
* Confident communicator with strong relationship‑building skills.
* Ability to run events, consultations and workshops.
* Experience using digital engagement tools and social media.
* Collaborative, proactive and community focused.
* Current driver's licence (essential).
