The Financial Operations Leader will oversee the management of all aspects of local financial operations, ensuring compliance with international reporting standards.

* Manage Financial Control: Oversee all aspects of financial control, including compliance and reporting in the Australian business.
* Closing Processes: Own the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
* Financial Reporting: Prepare and review statutory financial statements and management reports, ensuring alignment with international accounting standards.
* SOX Compliance: Ensure compliance with SOX controls and internal audit requirements, maintaining a robust risk management framework.
* Global Partnership: Partner with global teams to meet reporting deadlines under US GAAP and IFRS, fostering strong relationships and effective collaboration.
* Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis for the Australian entity, driving strategic decision-making.
* Audit and Compliance: Coordinate local audit, tax, and compliance matters, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
* Process Improvement: Identify and implement process and control improvements, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A Certified Accountant/CPA qualification, with a background in audit, financial reporting, or financial control.
* Experience working in a multinational environment, preferably with a US-listed or SOX-regulated business.
* An in-depth understanding of SOX frameworks, risk, and control environments.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with offshore finance teams.
* A strong analytical mindset, with attention to detail and a continuous improvement focus.
* Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
