TRANSMISSION LINE AND TECHNICAL AUDIT CHIEF ENGINEER

Key Responsibilities:
* Technical audit and assessment of ongoing projects, grid operations, and maintenance activities of SO, P&E and O&M to identify deficiencies, poor workmanship, hidden defects, operational problems and other areas for improvement in compliance with established standards and procedures, and formulating recommendations for system reliability and process improvement;
* In‐depth investigation and analysis of causes of power outages, equipment failures, and major power disturbances to prevent recurrence, including development of solutions for findings that cannot be solved using existing methods or approaches.
* Validation of the implementation of recommendations to ensure compliance with defined procedures and approved standards of the company for achieving corporate objectives and performance targets;
* Technical study relevant to audit findings, results of operation and investigation aiming for the preservation, improvement and stability of power transmission facilities to meet a high degree of stakeholder and customer satisfaction;
* Ensures effective implementation of technical audit and assessment of TL to ensure compliance with applicable NGCP technical standards, policies on quality, safety, environment and risk management, operating guidelines, philosophies, rules and codes of regulatory agencies. This involves all ongoing projects of NGCP, system operations and maintenance activities including grid protection assessment geared towards efficient planning and engineering, stable grid operations, and effective maintenance and preservation of TL to ensure high reliability and power stability of the resilient transmission grid.
* Ensures effective management on elimination and recurrence of untimely breakdown of major transmission facilities and systems, and the prevention of widespread system disturbances by conducting an in‐depth and systematic investigation and analysis using advanced methodologies to determine the root cause and formulate strategies to correct the problem with objective and practical recommendations.
* Ensures conscientious implementation and compliance with defined procedures and approved standards of the company for achieving corporate objectives and performance targets including development of solutions for findings that cannot be solved using existing methods or approaches.
* Ensures that the organization is consistently following technical standards, policies, bulletins, technical memos, circulars and procedures (collectively referred to as "Standards") based on lessons learned from results of operations, incoming and results of internal audits and other requirements.
* Ensures provision of sound engineering concepts, technical expertise in reviewing technical documents, practical applications and various lessons learned to other divisions/groups of NGCP to improve the confidence level of transmission lines and substation facilities.
Requirements:
* Registered Electrical Engineer (REE); PEE is an advantage.
* 7 years' experience in power systems.
* 3 years of which must be in a supervisory position or with equivalent experience.
* 32 hours of relevant training.
* Preferably with a related Master's Degree applicable to the position.
* Good leadership and management skills.
* Proficient in power system theories and applications, and national and international electrical standards.
* Knowledgeable in power system analyses (load flow, short‐circuit calculation, protection coordination, arc flash analysis, etc.).
* Knowledgeable in substation high‐voltage primary and secondary equipment.
* Well‐versed in NGCP Power Transmission System.
