Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Cable Joiner. You will be responsible for installing, jointing, terminating, and maintaining high and low-voltage power cables in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Reporting to the Project Manager, this role will be based in our Campbelltown office.
About the role:
* Installing, jointing, and terminating low and high-voltage cables.
* Performing underground cable jointing and termination work for distribution networks.
* Conducting tests and fault-finding on electrical cables.
* Working in compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring all work is carried out safely and efficiently.
* Reading and interpreting technical drawings and work instructions.
* Working with a team to complete projects on time and within budget.
* Maintaining tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working condition.
* Liaising with supervisors, engineers, and clients regarding project requirements and progress.
Desired Skills and Experience
About you:
* Proven experience as a Cable Jointer with testing experience
* Relevant industry experience with Paper lead joining preferred.
* Experience with LV & HV from 11Kv up to 33Kv
* Network authority training
* Knowledge of electrical safety procedures and regulations.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Valid driver's license
