This job is diverse and collaborative and offers a mix of office and field-based work, with a particular focus on the delivery of conservation management priorities.
Based in Longreach, the OO6 Ranger leads and coordinates the planning and delivery of operational work programs within the recently acquired Rangelands properties, including asset related tasks. The position is required to work collaboratively with park neighbours, First Nations partners, researchers and key stakeholders.
Good communication and administrative skills are essential for this position.
Properties within the management unit are remote and may become isolated from time to time. Confidence and practical skills are required to work and live in regional and isolated settings.
A reasonable degree of physical fitness is required for this role.
Accommodation in Longreach may be negotiated.
