Occupational rehabilitation expert

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as an Occupational Rehabilitation Consultant. This is a unique opportunity to work in a diverse role that offers flexibility, autonomy, and the chance to make a positive impact on people's lives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Psychology or Rehabilitation Counselling, with a passion for working in the Occupational Rehabilitation sector. They will be responsible for providing occupational rehabilitation services to clients with a range of conditions, both physical and psychological, and supporting them to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

* Case management: managing caseloads and providing support to clients to achieve their goals;
* Applying clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes: using expertise to develop and implement effective plans to support clients in returning to work;
* Working with employers and employees: developing and implementing injury prevention and workplace education programs to promote a safe and healthy work environment;
* Collaborating with stakeholders: working across various schemes, including workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs;


Requirements

* Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Health Sciences or Rehabilitation Counselling;
* General or Provisional registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Psychologist or eligibility for Associate or Full membership with Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors (ASORC);
* Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation industry would be highly regarded;
* Fabulous communication skills: building strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues;
* Compassion and kindness: providing empathetic and supportive care to clients;
* Well-developed time management skills: prioritizing tasks, managing workload, and meeting deadlines;
* A current NSW Driver's Licence and access to own car with comprehensive insurance.
