Overview
The Defence Department is hiring a public relations officer for the Australian Army, to be based in Melbourne.
Responsibilities
* Manage a team of PR practitioners who will manage the Army's branding and reputation development efforts through press releases, videos, and social media content.
* Talk with the Army's senior command staff on building new communication strategies, media relations, and issues management.
* Work may require assignment to Defence Force HQ in Canberra or attached with units on deployment.
Qualifications
* Open exclusively to Australian citizens who graduated with PR, Corporate Communications, or Journalism degrees with at least three years' experience.
* Must pass the standard ADF physical fitness test and undergo background checks.
