Responsibilities
- Vehicle Inspections: Conduct thorough mechanical, electrical, and cosmetic inspections to ensure every vehicle meets the highest standards of safety and performance.
- Roadworthy Certification: Perform required roadworthy checks and ensure all vehicles meet necessary compliance standards before delivery.
- Repairs & Maintenance: Diagnose mechanical issues and carry out repairs, including brake repairs, engine diagnostics, and suspension work.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our internal teams to ensure a seamless workflow and high standards of customer satisfaction.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all inspections, repairs, and certifications completed.
- Quality Control: Perform final checks and quality control before vehicle handover to ensure top-quality delivery.
What We're Looking For
- Roadworthy Certification: A valid RWC licence is highly desired — to perform roadworthy checks.
- Mechanical Expertise: Proven experience as a Roadworthy Mechanic with strong knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic tools.
- Attention to Detail: You have a sharp eye for identifying issues and defects, ensuring every vehicle is fully compliant and ready for our customers.
- Problem Solving: You enjoy diagnosing and solving mechanical issues, and you’re confident in performing repairs.
- Team Player: You work well with others and are committed to maintaining a positive, productive team environment.
- Communication Skills: You communicate clearly, whether with team members or customers, ensuring everyone’s on the same page.
- Qualifications: Formal automotive qualifications (e.g., Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology)
- Trade qualification (Australian Apprenticeship)
- Trade qualification (completed trade recognition at TAFE or Equivalent Institution)
- Additional Skills (Bonus): Experience with electrical diagnostics, air conditioning repairs, and other specialized skills are highly regarded.
