The Role
As an Irrigation Supervisor, you will play a vital part of our irrigation operations. Reporting directly to the Farm Manager, you’ll manage the installation, maintenance and optimisation of our irrigation systems.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and implement the farm’s irrigation program, designing layouts and watering plans for optimal crop growth
Manage the fertigation program to ensure crops receive the right nutrients at the right time
Troubleshoot and replace faulty parts, keeping systems in great condition
Repair or replace hoses, pipes, sprinkler heads, and other irrigation fixtures as needed.
Operating the MAIT irrigation programs
Handle the installation and repair of irrigation lines and valves.
Keep records of irrigation activities and repairs
Other irrigation maintenance duties as required
What we’re looking for
Extensive experience with Irrigation systems, including inspection, maintenance, repairs and installation
Supervisory experience is a plus, but not essential
Strong attention to details and a hands on approach to problem solving
Basic computer skills (experience with MAIT irrigation software is desirable)
Motivation, reliability, and a commitment to the team’s success
