Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive
IT Consultant
to provide technical expertise and guidance to clients and internal teams. The role involves analysing business needs, recommending IT solutions, supporting system implementation, and ensuring technology aligns with organisational goals and Australian IT standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyse business processes and IT requirements to propose effective solutions
* Assist in the implementation, integration, and optimisation of IT systems
* Provide technical support and troubleshooting for software and hardware issues
* Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business objectives
* Prepare documentation, reports, and presentations for clients and management
* Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements
* Conduct system testing and assist with deployment plans
* Ensure IT solutions comply with Australian regulations and security standards
* Provide training and support to users as required
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in IT operations
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Knowledge of IT infrastructure, software applications, and cloud solutions
* Familiarity with system implementation and project lifecycle
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Preferred Skills
* Experience in IT consulting or advisory roles (Australian market preferred)
* Knowledge of cybersecurity, compliance, and data privacy regulations in Australia
* Familiarity with ERP/CRM systems (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, Oracle)
* Exposure to Agile or Waterfall methodologies
* Ability to conduct cost-benefit and risk analysis for IT solutions
* Relevant certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft, or AWS
