About the role
Tas Connect Logistics is seeking an experienced Heavy Combination (HC) / Heavy Rigid (HR) Truck Driver to join our team in our Hobart depot. This is a full-time position, offering competitive remuneration and a range of employee benefits. As a Truck Driver, you will play a vital role in our road transport and logistics operations, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of goods across the southern region in Tasmania.
What you'll be doing
* Operating HC / HR trucks to transport goods and materials safely and on time
* Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and report any issues
* Adhering to all relevant road traffic laws, regulations, and company policies
* Maintaining accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and delivery details
* Assisting with the loading and unloading of vehicles as required
* Providing excellent customer service to our clients and industry partners
What we're looking for
* At least a current Heavy Rigid (HR) driver's licence
* Extensive experience (minimum 3 years) driving HR vehicles
* Strong knowledge of road rules, vehicle safety, and load management
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* A commitment to safe driving practices and a demonstrated ability to work independently
* Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends
