Overview
EIF Industries are currently looking for Trades Assistants, Electrical Tradespersons (Including Instrumentation) to complete shutdown works at Nyrstar Port Pirie over the next 2-3 months, with a view to starting early October. Additional works may continue post shutdown under the same arrangement, pending completion of tasks during the shutdown.
Shutdown works
- 12.5-hour day shifts Monday to Friday on a 5:2 roster with potential for weekends additionally where required.
- 3 hours of travel to, and from Adelaide paid for mobilisation/demobilisation.
Conditions of all works
- Local accommodation provided
- 3 daily meals provided
- Works will involve but not limited to EWP usage, general fabrication and installation of support systems for cable trays, and installation of electrical cabinets, cables and electrical infrastructure.
Casual Rates
- $70p/hr Electrician (must have trade Cert III)
- $80p/hr Instrumentation (must have trade Cert III)
Mandatory Qualifications
- South Australian White Card
- Trade Certificate (where applicable)
- Working at heights (within 2 years)
- First Aid for electrical workers
- EWP License
- Current Divers License
- Must be prepared to undergo blood lead level monitoring
- Applicants must be clean shaven for mask fit (moustache allowed)
- Must pass a medical examination & drug/alcohol testing
- Strong focus on safety
- Self-motivated
- Great communication skills with peers and clients
- Proven experience in electrical installation, fault finding and maintenance activities
- Experience in fault finding complex electrical systems and equipment, Able to read and interpret electrical drawings for fault finding tasks (Electricians only)
Desirable Qualifications/Experience
- Prior experience with shutdown work
- EWP High-Risk License
- Prior experience with JSEA, SWMS, & Permit systems
- Installation and repairs to electrical infrastructure
- Steel Wire Armor caballing installation and terminations
- Completion of testing documents, red-line mark-ups and ECOCs
- Confined Space certification
- HVAC
- Data & Comms
- Automation (PLC, PAC, HMI & SCADA)
