NTBA is a Darwin-based company specialising in bituminous sealing. As part of a leading global road surfacing group, they have a strong track record of delivering high-quality road surfacing projects across the entire Northern Territory.
The Role
We are looking for a skilled Bitumen Sprayer Driver to join our dynamic spray sealing crew in Darwin, NT. While the position is based out of our Darwin depot, constant travel will be required to all parts of the Northern Territory. This role will see you operating state-of-the-art bitumen spraying equipment, ensuring the delivery of high-quality results with precision and safety.
This role reports into the Spray Sealing Supervisor and you will be responsible for the transfer and application of bituminous products.
Key responsibilities & requirements:
* Safely and efficiently operate bitumen spraying equipment.
* Prepare and maintain equipment before and after use.
* Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company standards.
* Follow project plans and specifications for bitumen application.
* Conduct routine inspections and report any issues promptly.
* Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines.
* Ability to adapt to changing project demands and work in remote locations.
* Assist the surfacing team in any way required, by undertaking ground activities or utilising alternate plant and equipment, when bitumen spraying is not required.
* Willingness to travel to all parts of the Northern Territory as needed and live in portable temporary accommodation when working away from the depot.
Experience & Qualifications:
* 3+ years' experience as a Bitumen Sprayer Driver is essential.
* 5+ years of spray sealing experience.
* Minimum HC Heavy Vehicle Licence is required. MC Heavy Vehicle Licence is advantageous, and assistance can be provided to obtain.
* Dangerous Goods certification is mandatory for the role, but assistance will be provided to the preferred candidate to assist with obtaining.
* First Aid & CPR Certification – Advantageous.
* Construction Induction (White) Card is required.
