You’ll work closely with our Corporate Advisory team on a range of capital markets transactions, including IPOs and listed equity placements, while also supporting key operational functions. This role is ideal for someone with a background in capital markets who is looking to grow within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

- End-to-end oversight and project management of corporate transactions, ensuring smooth execution from inception to settlement.
- Manage the bookbuild process via Complii, coordinating investor bids and allocations.
- Prepare and format key deal documentation, including term sheets, and manage the Due Diligence Questionnaire (DDQ) process with corporate clients.
- Participate in due diligence meetings and coordinate the collection and organisation of relevant information throughout the deal lifecycle.
- Draft and distribute offer documentation and investor communications in line with compliance requirements.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and third parties, addressing transaction-related queries and ensuring timely responses.
- Collaborate with Investment Advisors to oversee bid scale backs, ensuring adherence to internal policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Manage the full settlement process of corporate deals, including coordination with settlement agents and share registries.
- Finalise internal and external fee distributions (pay aways) in accordance with deal terms and company procedures.

Compliance & Operations Coordination

- Collaborate with external compliance consultants to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Monitor updates and changes to ASIC regulations, providing timely guidance and updates to the company.
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs and internal policies aligned with company objectives and regulatory standards.
- Introduce and uphold best practice procedures to ensure responsible and compliant business operations.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, including ASIC, on compliance-related matters and manage any associated enquiries.
- Oversee and manage compliance obligations specific to sophisticated and wholesale investors.
- Coordinate the onboarding and offboarding processes for authorised representatives and staff.
- Oversee the activities of Dealers’ Assistants, ensuring all client account documentation is accurate and complete.
- Provide training and ongoing support to Dealers’ Assistants on client account opening procedures and handling client enquiries.
- Act as a point of contact for investor relations, addressing client queries related to transactions and portfolio management.
- Manage the preparation and execution of the AFSL annual audit, ensuring compliance and timely submission of required documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Demonstrated interest or experience in financial markets is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with the Corporations Act and ASX regulations is advantageous, though not essential.
- A degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Proactive, analytical thinker with the ability to perform well under pressure.
- Solid attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to work independently.
- Exceptional relationship management and customer service skills, with the ability to engage confidently with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Professional presentation and demeanour appropriate for a corporate environment.
- Willingness to complete RG146 Accreditation and any other relevant training as required.
- A positive attitude with a good sense of humour and a collaborative spirit.
- Medium to advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
