Business Development Manager Opportunity
A Business Development Manager is required to drive sales growth across multiple sectors, including meat processing, poultry and mushroom production, and aged care.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders, and closing deals.
About the Business Opportunity
Own the full sales cycle across multiple verticals: abattoirs/boning rooms, poultry & mushroom producers, and aged-care providers. Proactive outbound from a cold list (calls, emails, LinkedIn) to create qualified opportunities, book and run meetings/site visits, understand workflows (Ops, QA/HACCP, Procurement), build proposals, negotiate pricing/terms, and close.
Maintain pristine activity/notes, next steps, and forecasts in Zoho CRM. Hit targets across meetings, pipeline value, and revenue.
About You
* 3+ years B2B sales (manufacturing/food production or aged care a plus)
* Confident with cold outreach and multi-threading stakeholders
* Comfortable visiting plants/facilities; travel 20–30% within Australia
* CRM-savvy (Zoho preferred); strong follow-through and pipeline hygiene
* Clear communicator, commercially sharp, resilient, and coachable
* Driver's licence; full Australian work rights
Nice to Have
* Network in meat, poultry, or mushroom sectors, or aged-care providers
* Familiarity with HACCP/food safety, compliance, and procurement processes
* Experience selling into major meat processors, large mushroom growers, or aged-care groups
