Occupational Therapist Job

Job Description:
* Provide play-based therapeutic services focused on child and family goals for children in the child's environment or in the clinic.
* Work alongside children, young people, and their families to set goals, develop strategies, and support their implementation.
* Utilize skills and knowledge to provide goal-driven family-centered programs to support families through a keyworker model of practice and parent coaching.
* Evaluate and deliver evidence-based, holistic interventions for children.
* Develop specialist areas of interest such as prescription of assistive technology and minor home modifications, sensory processing, and emotional regulation.
* Complete assessments to guide skill-based therapy in the areas of fine/gross motor, sensory processing, emotional regulation, and self-care.
* Work collaboratively with other disciplines and stakeholders within the team to deliver high-quality integrated therapy supports.
* Be proactive in your learning by participating in monthly supervision, monthly peer supervision, and generous professional development - specialize in your areas of interest.
* Manage your own schedule and flexible working arrangements while being part of a team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Ability to work collaboratively with your team to achieve outcomes for children and families.
* Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
* Ability to work independently, implement effective caseload management strategies.
* Knowledge of the NDIS and ability to work within a billable model.
* Current Working with Children Check, NDIS worker screening check, and other screening checks as advised.
* Valid driver's license, own vehicle, and the ability to travel within the northern suburbs, western suburbs, or regional centers depending on your base.
