About the Role
The Cyber Security Engineer will be responsible for providing accurate, contemporary subject matter expertise to Engineering Manager, Chief Engineer, Project Managers, Project Sponsors and the wider CASG and Army engineering teams.
The Cyber Security Engineer will exercise a considerable degree of independence and collaborate across a complex, long-term, iterative, interconnected, integration program. They will exercise sound decision‐making and judgement to contribute to delivery of capability in line with stakeholder requirements. They will contribute to strategic planning, project planning, activity co‐ordination and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Duties
* Provide subject matter advice on Vehicle C4 systems, focusing on software architecture and platform integration.
* Apply and align Cyber Security Frameworks per Land capability systems including complex vehicle systems, ensuring cyber governance, risk management, and compliance.
* Collaborate with Prime Contractors to influence and validate system design, integration, and security posture.
* Implement and advocate for Zero Trust Architecture principles across platform and network layers.
* Ensure adherence to Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) and Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA) standards.
* Support development and review of System Architecture Documentation, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and Software Design Specifications.
* Work closely with LC4SB Program Management Office and Cyber Security Cell to align governance processes, policies, and frameworks.
* Provide technical oversight on system integration activities, ensuring interoperability and compliance with security requirements.

* Ability to provide cyber security advice at all stages of a capability life cycle.
* Ability to work collaboratively and communicate highly effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
* Evaluate and ensure that the capability sustainment meets requirements and legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
* Undergraduate 4‐year Engineering Degree in a related discipline.
* Industry recognized ICT and Cyber accreditations (Desirable).
* Understanding of Zero Trust network architectures.
* Understanding of Data Centric security architectures.
* Implementing Cyber Governance, Risk and Compliance principles in a Defence context.
* Experience as a System, Security, or Solutions Architect.
