* Fixed term, full time opportunity based in Grampians
* Provide strategic advice for the entire region and delivering strategic outcomes
* Salary range of $138,631 - $185,518 plus superannuation

Community Correctional Services (CCS) contributes to the safety of the community by applying practices that reduce reoffending and connecting offenders to programs, services and the community. CCS provides management of offenders on court orders, serious sex and violent offenders on post sentence supervision and prisoners on parole.

About the role:

The Regional General Manager, CCS leads and manages the delivery of CCS services across locations within the region, including providing services to regional courts and prisons.

Key responsibilities include:

* Work from and travel to locations within the region and manage the day-to-day operations of that region
* Direct line management responsibilities for the Managers across court, parole and post sentence and community work streams, including a number of other specialist positions.
* Guides others through the strategic planning process
* works across government and at senior levels to develop and deliver sustainable solutions

The Regional General Manager is a member of a region's executive management team. In that capacity, the position has a significant role to play in providing strategic advice for the entire region and delivering strategic outcomes to address issues affecting the region and CCS as a whole.

About you:

* Thorough knowledge and understanding of the criminal justice system and contemporary best practice in offender management within CCS
* Expert understanding of and experience in best practice initiatives in relation to risk management and therapeutic work with high risk and complex individuals.
* Demonstrated experience in leading and managing cross-functional operations and determining service delivery resource allocation.
* Drives a culture of quality by design where quality practices are embedded in the service and solution delivery process
