Our Purpose: Grow Townsville Our Values: Safety, Excellence, Respect, Value, Enjoyment About the Role This position will: Advise the condition, performance, risk, lifecycle cost and remaining lives of various water, wastewater and waste assets, to improve asset investment decision making and achieve sustainable improvements in business performance. Be responsible for the delivery of actions from the strategic asset management plan, review and upkeep of asset management processes and procedures. Have a strong understanding of waste assets and the lifecycle management of these assets. This will include: Develop and maintain asset renewal models based on statistical techniques by predicting the asset degradation curves. Prepare professional correspondence, documents, reports and presentations as required. Influence senior leadership decision-making in engineering by providing technical expertise and recommending strategies for effective resource recovery and optimisation. About You Our ideal candidate will have: Bachelor qualifications in Engineering and eligibility for membership of the Institution of Engineers Australia. Current “C” class driver’s licence. Extensive Knowledge and experience in performing analysis in various information technology systems including the Microsoft Office suite, GIS and Business Management Systems. Substantial experience as asset engineer or related roles. Highly demonstrated experience in preparing ten-year renewal and upgrade capital works plan. Highly demonstrated experience in performing physical condition assessment such as vibration analysis, ultra-sonic analysis, thermography imaging etc. Extensive knowledge of relevant legislation, codes and guidelines relating to the QLD Local Government Act and appropriate asset management standards.
