About the Role
This fixed-term position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our team's success. As the HSE Superintendent, you will be responsible for ensuring our business systems align with current legislation, standards, and company policies.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing expert advice on HSE matters to ensure works are conducted safely and efficiently;
* Liaising with engineering, safety, environmental, and workshop staff to achieve project goals;
* Supporting projects by providing input at start-up and other support where required;
* Identifying issues proactively and responding to new opportunities;
* Communicating with key client stakeholders and managing their expectations.
About You
We are seeking an individual with:
* A strong understanding of relevant standards, legislation, and codes of practice;
* High-level work area planning and programming knowledge;
* Strong interpersonal skills and conflict management capabilities.
Qualifications For This Position Are
* Relevant HSE qualifications;
* Senior First Aid/CPR certification;
* Cert IV Leadership and Management;
* Cert IV Training and Assessing certification;
* Auditor (internal, lead) in Integrated Management Systems and/or OHS, Quality, Environment.
About the Location
Barrow Island is a remote location with excellent on-site accommodation, including meal services, gym facilities, and sporting amenities. The island provides a unique opportunity to work on a major oil field discovery in Western Australia.
