As part of our Care Services team, you'll contribute to a fair, safe, and inclusive community where everyone can thrive. Guided by our values of connection, courage, and compassion, you'll work alongside dedicated professionals to support kinship care arrangements across the Geelong and surrounding regions.

About the Role

As a Caseworker Care Services, you will:

* Provide direct case management support to children and young people in kinship care, ensuring their needs are met in line with case plans and best practice.
* Work collaboratively with carers, families, community members and professionals to maintain safe, stable, and culturally responsive kinship placements.
* Deliver information, education, referrals, and support activities to kinship carers across Geelong, Surf Coast, Colac, Otway and Corangamite Shires.
* Undertake comprehensive kinship carer assessments, including reviews and permanent care assessments, involving children, carers, and extended family networks.

Position Details

* Full time, fixed term position until 30 June 2027
* 1 FTE working 38 hours per week
* $101,032 p/a + Super + Salary Packaging

What We're Looking For

We value professionals who bring empathy, expertise, and a commitment to social justice. To succeed in this role, you will have:

* A tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, or a related discipline, together with experience in a similar role.
* Demonstrated experience in working with and understanding the developmental and therapeutic needs of vulnerable children who have lived with abuse and neglect.
* Well-developed verbal and written communication skills in preparing detailed, logical and concise reports, case notes and court documentation.
* Demonstrated experience in maintaining client records and agency databases.
* An understanding of the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005, including the information sharing provisions, child protection frameworks and practices underpinned by legislation.
