Kimberley Mineral Sands Pty Ltd (KMS) is a ***** joint venture between Sheffield Resources Limited and YGH Australia Investment Pty Ltd (Yansteel). The Thunderbird Mineral Sands Project (Thunderbird) is located mid-way between Derby and Broome, in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.
Thunderbird is one of the largest and highest-grade zircon mineral sands deposits in the world and contains valuable heavy minerals including ilmenite, zircon, leucoxene, and rutile, which are extracted and exported via the Port of Broome.

About the Role
Residing in the West Kimberley and reporting to the Superintendent Maintenance and Engineering, this is an exciting opportunity for a Maintainer to join our growing mining company.
This role will be responsible for executing planned and corrective maintenance on the LV and HV electrical infrastructure and ELV control systems instrumentation. This role is required to safely execute all tasks, with the aim of reducing down time and ensuring best practice procedures are used to maintain a high standard of output.
Site based roster:
8 days on, 6 days off - Bus in Bus Out
Key Responsibilities
Safely perform electrical maintenance tasks to a high-quality standard
Meet all requirements under work orders and attachments when completing work tasks, ensuring documentation remains relevant to the situation and environment, updating as required
Proactively ensure preventative maintenance and statutory electrical testing on the LV and HV electrical infrastructure including LV Electrical Feeders, 11KV ring main units and substations, ABB Variable speed drives, LV Electrical Distribution systems, LV and ELV Control systems occurs where possible to mitigate major maintenance.
Ensure the work environment remains safe by maintaining a high standard of housekeeping throughout the workshop and the plant
Conduct inspections and suggest improvements to maximise equipment utilisation
About You
Hold a current WA C-Class driver's licence
Hold an Electrical Trade Certificate
Experience in the mining industry
Experience with preventative maintenance systems
Hold a demonstratable and genuine value for safety
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to read and interpret technical reports and electrical schematics
Excellent interpersonal skills with all employees across the organisation
Hold Working at Heights, EWP and Confined Space tickets
SAP Maintenance Management System experience would be advantageous
H.V Switching
Experience working with instrumentation
