As an Administration Officer in the Land Domain of Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group, you will be given the unique opportunity to help lead a multidisciplinary team to help deliver Australian Defence Force systems that are at the leading edge of Defence capability.
**About our Team**
The Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) is an integral part of the Department of Defence. This group procures and maintains military equipment and supplies in the quantities and to the service levels that are required by Defence and approved by Government. Within CASG, the Land Domain acquires and supports designated land systems for the Australian Defence Force.

The right person for this role will be an individual who is able to collaborate effectively with the administration team, as well as with external stakeholders, in order to develop, coordinate and maintain oversight of the delivery of the required business administration activities.
You will enjoy working across a variety of tasks within administration across a broad range of areas. You will be able to use your initiative to make informed decisions and solve problems relating to your areas of responsibility and undertake specialist research and analysis, conduct reviews, assessments and perform procedural, clerical, administrative support work to achieve results. You will support the broader administration team through reviewing and developing the quality of work undertaken by others and identifying opportunities for on-the-job training. You will be required to engage and communicate with stakeholders to identify, respond and provide advice on issues to achieve the delivery of capability to defence.
You will need an ability to quickly acquire new skills and learn new software packages.
The APS5 Administration Officer is accountable under limited direction to perform and achieve complex administration work, engage and communicate with stakeholders to identify, respond and provide advice on issues.
Highly desirable skills in one of more of the following; Human Resource Management, Data Analytics, Quality Assurance, Business Support and Ministerial, Security Governance and Work Health and Safety.
