About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and professional individual to join our team as Concrete Batcher in the Mackay region.
Reporting to the Operational Manager, this role is responsible for the customer service relating to booking and allocating deliveries, batching concrete orders, coordinating the truck allocations and general yard work at the concrete plant.
This is a full time position based in the Mackay Region, offering above awards rates and reasonable amount of overtime paid at penalty rates.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide professional customer service in relation to concrete orders and general enquiries.
* Manage the batching and loading of concrete trucks for delivery to customers.
* Oversee day-to-day administration of the batch plant, including raw material stock control.
* Operate a front-end loader and carry out general yard and plant housekeeping and maintenance duties.
* Participate in training, with full training provided for suitable candidates.
Skills, Experience and Attributes:
* Strong customer service skills with a commitment to delivering excellent outcomes.
* Highly motivated with a proactive, "can-do" attitude.
* Ability to work flexible hours as required.
* Team-oriented with the ability to multi-task and make effective decisions under pressure.
* Previous concrete batching experience is highly regarded but not essential. Transferable skills from industries such as hospitality or retail will be considered, with training provided.
* Front-end loader experience is desirable but not essential.
* Intermediate computer skills.
