Mt Barker District Soldiers' Memorial Hospital (MBDSMH) offers an exciting and comprehensive clinical role for a Medical Practitioner committed to high-quality Obstetrics and Gynaecology care. The position provides exposure across antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal, gynaecology, and early pregnancy services, while working closely with Consultants, GP Obstetricians, Midwives, Nurses and Allied Health Professionals. The opportunity supports the successful completion of an advanced DRANZCOG within 12 months and includes diverse clinical experiences such as operating lists and procedural skills, with involvement in quality improvement, education, research, and multidisciplinary teamwork.

Mount Barker is a fast-growing regional centre in the Adelaide Hills, known for its natural beauty, strong community, and modern amenities. It is 30 minutes from Adelaide and offers diverse job opportunities in health, education, retail, trades, and more. This position is based in Mount Barker.
How you will contribute
* Deliver comprehensive assessment, daily management, and discharge planning for all allocated patients, escalating care appropriately when required.
* Provide high-quality obstetric and gynaecology services across antenatal clinics, acute and elective births, gynaecology theatre lists, and early pregnancy care.
* Participate in continuous quality improvement, clinical review activities, teaching, and research to enhance patient outcomes and service performance.
* Support junior medical staff and contribute to a positive, learning-focused culture within the maternity and wider hospital teams.

What is essential for success
