The opportunity
Ready to play a key role in keeping the fun safe? At Village Roadshow Theme Parks, we're looking for a Safety Advisor to support our Safety Manager across our world-class properties. In this role, you'll provide oversight, ensure compliance with our Safety Management Systems, and help us deliver unforgettable experiences in the safest way possible.
Key Responsibilities
No two days are the same You'll be:
• Assisting departments with or leading incident investigations, preparing reports, and recommending process improvements.
• Participating in audits and inspections, supporting the implementation of corrective actions.
• Maintaining accurate safety records including risk assessments, incident and hazard reports via our Figtree database.
• Providing advice on Health & Safety for new and existing activities and attractions.
• Helping to ensure emergency plans and ERT exercises are compliant and effective.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across Health & Safety.
What We're Looking For
We're after someone who's passionate about safety and thrives in dynamic, high-energy environments. You'll bring:
• Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety (or willing to obtain).
• Knowledge of AS/NZ 4801, ISO 45001 and risk management systems (Figtree or similar).
• Experience in the theme park industry or another high-volume public venue (highly regarded).
• Strong problem solving, organizational, and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Exposure to Chem Watch or similar safety systems (desirable).
