** Fixed Term Contract for 2 years, Full-time.**:

This key role will have the responsibility to assess the demand and supply of kinder infrastructure across the City that will support the Department of Education's Best Start, Best Life Kindergarten Reforms to ensure that families have access to timely provision kindergarten services.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Ensure the Kindergarten Infrastructure and Service Plan (KISP) including updating of data and projections are current.
- In consultation with the Coordinator of Inclusion and Service Planning and Coordinator of Maternal and Child Health, assess three
- and four-year-old enrolments, kinder supply, and population data across the City to better understand Council's capacity to support the State Government's early years reform program.
- Represent Council (as required) at DE meetings and other stakeholder forums and support Project Control and Working Groups on Council kinder projects.
- Consult with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure kinder projects are meeting Council objectives, service requirements, best practice, and project parameters.
- Work across the Division to undertake research, coordinate design, plan and support the delivery of Early Years infrastructure, while underpinning best practice and continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with community groups, early years services, and representatives from State and Federal government departments and agencies, such as VSBA and Department of
- Review existing infrastructure absorption and requirements for potential expansion to address projected demand. This will also include optimisation of existing and future kindergarten services.

**The skills and experience you'll bring to the role**:

- Working knowledge of the relevant legislations and regulations pertaining to the field of Early Childhood.
- Working knowledge of, and ability to administer the Quality systems and process as required such as National Quality Standards.
- Ability to develop a sound knowledge of Commonwealth and State funding agreements.
- Sound knowledge of service delivery requirements and how they impact kinder infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing policy, strategies, and research relevant to young children and families.
- High level liaison and collaboration skills, to support, influence and gain cooperation and maintain effective partnerships and networks.
- Ability to deal with complex and difficult situations in order to achieve timely and thorough outcomes.
- Ability to achieve accurate, evidence-based results to inform project identification and development.

**Required Certifications & Qualifications**:

- A relevant tertiary qualification in a Social Science, Social Planning, Project Management, Early Childhood, or related discipline and/or substantial relevant experience.
- Current driver's licence
