Activity Assistant – Aged Care
$34.58 – $37.73 + super + salary packaging
Location: Peter Anderton Social Centre, Forrestfield
Duration: Fixed‐term, part‐time parental leave cover until May 2027 (12 months)
Hours: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 8.30 am to 4.06 pm
What You'll Be Doing
* Planning and delivering engaging, person‐centred group activities for older people
* Using your creativity and interests (art, craft, music, storytelling, culture, movement, etc.) to bring programs to life
* Organising and supporting outings such as walks, cafés, museums, and local attractions
* Promoting wellbeing, connection and independence
* Transporting clients to and from the centre and on outings using a 12‐seater bus or 5‐seater vehicle
* Supporting and guiding volunteers and students
Qualifications & Experience
* Qualification (or working towards) in Community Services, Aged Care or equivalent
* Experience creating inclusive and person‐centred activities within a community and/or centre‐based setting (planning, monitoring and delivering)
* Experience working with vulnerable target groups including those who are aged
* A warm, upbeat, and engaging approach, with the ability to connect easily with others
* Confidence with admin tasks, written communication and tech
* Driving licence with ability and willingness to drive a 12‐seat bus and/or 5‐seater vehicle
* First aid certificate (HLTAID009 and HLTAID011) or willingness to obtain
