About the Role: We are seeking a Youth Support Mentor to join our Transition to Work (TTW) team. This role provides intensive one-on-one support to jobseekers aged 15-25, helping them build skills, overcome barriers, and achieve their employment or education goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide vocational guidance tailored to participants' career and education aspirations.
* Support young people to identify and implement their goals through a Job Plan.
* Assess skills, capabilities, and barriers, and connect participants with specialist support services.
* Facilitate employability workshops, individual and group coaching sessions.
* Support participants with job search activities, volunteering opportunities, and mentoring.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, training providers, and community services.
* Maintain accurate participant records and meet performance and compliance requirements.
Skills and Experiences: We are looking for someone who is:
* Experienced in coaching, mentoring, or supporting others to build capacity.
* Skilled in caseload management, with the ability to balance participant needs and program outcomes.
* Confident with administration, reporting, and using digital systems.
* A strong communicator who can build trust, motivate, and inspire young people.
* Adaptable, organised, and able to maintain high professional work standards.
Essential:
* Current driver's licence.
* Demonstrated experience in mentoring, coaching, or supporting young people.
