AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global data centre infrastructure. We support all AWS data centres and all the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.

Key job responsibilities include:
* Experience in technical support, or experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
* Experience scripting in modern program languages
* Holding or being able to attain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance
A day in the life includes:
* Dive deep to pinpoint the underlying causes of software-based issues, providing valuable assistance in escalations when necessary
* Apply Linux expertise to troubleshoot, innovate solutions, and resolve technical issues
* Efficiently managing ticket queues for both our internal team and partner service teams ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met
* Leading the team to enhance operational efficiency by analysing root causes, trends and developing metrics, procedures, tools and documentation
* Engaging with internal service teams to contribute to company-wide initiatives, including tasks such as patching, operating system migrations, and code releases
* Working with various internal software development teams to actively enhance systems and services within the team's scope
* Collaborating closely with experienced engineers and actively engaging in knowledge-sharing sessions with the team

Basic Qualifications
We require:
* Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP
* 1+ years of technical support experience
* Experience scripting in modern programming languages
* 1+ Year Linux/Windows systems administration experience
Preferred Qualifications
We prefer:
* Experience in technical support
* Experience scripting in one or more language (e.g. Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby)
* Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
* Knowledge of web services, distributed systems, and web application development
* Experience troubleshooting & maintaining software
