We're a family-run business, deeply rooted in values that span generations. As we expand, we're looking for a Production Line Supervisor to join us on this exciting journey and play a pivotal role in the future of Rombola Family Farms.
About the Role
The Production Line Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all operational production line tasks to optimise production performance. You will successfully lead the team and be accountable for the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the line. You will be able to get along with people from all walks of life and work with the team to rectify any issues identified. The ideal candidate will have experience in produce packing or food manufacturing (capsicum experience preferred). This role is a Casual role with possibility to become a Permanent position.
Key accountabilities include:
Overseeing all operational production line tasks and planning daily production operations
Implementing and reporting on daily packing plans
Tracking and recording stock use and inventory into the warehouse management system
Ensure adequate packaging levels are maintained to support production objectives
Organising production lines to ensure maximum efficiency
Arranging staffing requirements around workload
Supervising up to 25 people per shift
Ensure staff follow safety policies and relevant WHS legislations at all times
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
Previous experience supervising efficient, modern production lines handling fruit, vegetable or other manufacturing products
Experience with produce graders (MAF Roda, Compac) or similar vision grading systems will be highly advantageous along with integrated warehouse/inventory management systems
Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with a can-do attitude
Very organised team player who can work effectively with people from different backgrounds
Ability to work flexible hours during peak harvest periods
