These include (but are not limited to): Provide reliable and timely advice, interpretation and guidance on the applicable Certified Agreements, Awards, Local Government Act and Regulations, and policies and procedures in a proactive model of developing strong working relationships based on credibility and open communication. Provide timely advice and support to supervisors and managers through a broad range of people issues to formulate and deliver interventions that maximise business outcomes and employee performance. This may include providing advice on flexible practices, innovative recruitment and selection practices, learning and development initiatives, assisting the business to work through employee conflict, grievances, engaging third parties to assist with planned interventions, providing advice on disciplinary action, performance improvement and termination activities. Working with the business and under the guidance of the Director/Coordinator, develop written documents as required including reports to Council or executive and senior team meetings, developing terms of reference when assigning an investigator, medical practitioner or third party intervention, letters notifying employees of an investigation, show cause letters and outcome letters. Taking a coaching approach, work with the business and the team on programs to attract, recruit and retain a motivated, engaged and talented workforce including being involved in on-boarding programs, advertising campaigns, maintaining talent pools, apprenticeships, traineeships, graduates and school based trainees as required. Provide advice and guidance on matters relating to capability, attraction, recruitment and retention, diversity and inclusion, leadership development, employee engagement, performance management, change, reward and recognition, and wellbeing based on the needs of the business. What You Will Need To be considered for this role, you will need: Demonstrated knowledge or experience in managing people, influencing people, coaching and relationship -building skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience across a range of human resources initiatives and issues including performance management, employee relations, workforce planning, human resource planning, recruitment and change management. Proven ability to track and report on data and metrics. Facilitation skills in coaching and influencing to achieve outcomes with competing priorities. A self-motivated approach to your work coupled with a continuous improvement mindset.
